Just getting started here, but our first book is The Three Musketeers. We'll meet at Mom's to discuss the book and dine on French cuisine on November 21. Time to be decided later.

  1. Hey Stephens girls, I notice that this blog is for your girls to read a book each month.

Can I ask why us men can't join? I know that most men in our family are probably not avid readers, and if they do them please accept my apologies.

I would like to be part of this group and I think I would enjoy it very much to share this great aspect of life to read.

Please let me know if I can join this "exclusive" group.

    Thank you!

  2. I am currently reading "The collection of Sherlock Holmes".

When I first started reading this I was not to into it, for it has been my first book with the "English Style".

But as I pushed through it I am finding that I am enjoying it very well.

It is a collection of just short stories and mysteries. It reminds me of my favorite show on TV called Monk.

I am so glad that Jeanine has introduced me into reading other styles of books.

I will keep you all posted on how it goes.

    Happy Reading!

  3. Yo "Rioux Family"--

I don't know when you posted this, but I just saw it. When we started putting this blog together at Mom's house a couple of weeks ago, the other men in the family were making fun of us, so we didn't think any men would want to be invited. Sorry!

As for Sherlock Holmes, I mowed through his stories about two years ago and just loved them! I had never read "mysteries" before and didn't realize how addicting they could be. BTW, did you see that there is a Sherlock Holmes movie opening on Christmas Day with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law? So excited!!
